In 1986 there was no social media to share the injustice experienced by the Warren family in relation to the death of Keith Warren. It is unfortunate given the climate today that one would go on the attack on how I work to share Keith’s story surrounding the questionable actions conducted by local law enforcement in relations to his questionable death investigation. Keith’s death was not the first where one could question the actions of local law enforcement (Emmett Till) and it is definitely not the last. Instead of using hash tags to attack and try to discredit, why not use the same energy to read up on history , know it, share it, and try to change it? From Emmett Till, to Keith Warren to Kendrick Johnson I will continue to use my voice to bring to light the importance of police transparency, justice and accountability.- Sherri Warren
